The conveyancer acting on your behalf during the re-mortgaging process will usually need to pay a fee for a Notice of Charge. This is a notice served on the Freeholder to inform them that there is security against the property. The details are also lodged at the Land Registry.

Your conveyancer will deal with this on your behalf, however, there will be a fee for this notice which you will be required to pay.
